Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FPL Copycat Detective at fplcopycat.com ("the Service", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

FPL Copycat Detective is an unofficial fan-made analytics tool. It compares Fantasy Premier League team selections against publicly tracked content-creator templates and produces statistical similarity scores.

We are not affiliated withthe Premier League, Fantasy Premier League, or any FPL content creator unless explicitly stated. "Premier League" and "Fantasy Premier League" are trademarks of their respective owners.

Scan outputs, "accusation letters", commissioner tools, and banter features are for entertainment and league discussion. They are not legal findings, proof of cheating, or professional advice.

You must be at least 16 years old to register. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian before subscribing to paid plans. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for harassment, bullying, defamation, or doxxing other managers.
• Scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service or FPL APIs beyond normal use.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data.
• Present similarity scores as definitive proof of wrongdoing in any formal dispute.
• Use the Service where prohibited by law.

You are responsible for how you share scan results, reports, and generated letters in WhatsApp groups, Reddit, or money-league disputes. Use common sense and league rules — not our banter templates — as your guide.

Free and paid tiers are described on the pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You may cancel via the Stripe customer portal. Refunds are handled in line with Stripe and applicable consumer law — contact us if you believe a charge was made in error.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the platform.

No warranty.The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Statistical estimates only. Emulation scores, transfer timing scores, captain copy indices, and creator matches are algorithmic estimates based on publicly available FPL data. Similarity does not prove copying, intent, or rule breaches. Independent managers may score highly by coincidence; copycats may score low if they diverge late in the season.

Third-party data. We rely on the official FPL API and creator entry IDs. Delays, API outages, incorrect creator mappings, or gameweek data revisions may affect results. We are not liable for upstream data errors.

Not legal or financial advice. Nothing on the Service constitutes legal, financial, or gambling advice. Money-league rules and stakes are your responsibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we and our operators, contributors, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or league banter credibility arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £50, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Nothing in these Terms excludes your statutory rights as a consumer where you are located.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your sharing of scan results in a way that harms another person — for example, presenting our entertainment output as formal accusations.

The Service, branding, code, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. FPL data remains subject to FPL's terms. You may share report links and exports for personal league use; you may not resell the Service or repackage bulk data as a competing product without permission.

We may modify features, pricing, or these Terms at any time. We will post updates on this page. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance or factors outside our control (FPL API blocks, hosting outages, etc.).

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
